Problem- There is a lack of awareness and understanding of the effects of trauma on children like Chloe and a lack of protection and mental health resources in the state of Iowa needed to grow up being safe, happy, and successful.
Goal- Advocate through lobbying to increase state funding for the state legislators, Department of Human Services, Department of Education, and non-profit agencies in Iowa. Additional funding would be allocated to train all employees on Trauma-Informed Care.
